UNDENIABLE, UNDISPUTED, AND SIMPLY UNDEFEATED

UNDEFEATED x NIKE KOBE PROTRO "CITY PACK"

After a string of successful collaborations between UNDEFEATED and NIKE, most recently the camo K OBE 1 PROTO, the two are back at it again and this time, they’re bringing it to the remastered NIKE KOBE 4. The collab will present a series of 4 shoes representing 4 NBA teams; with the first shoe debuting with Kyle Kuzma of The Los Angeles Lakers.

The KOBE 4 first saw the hardwood in the 2008-2009 NBA Regular season, and debuted in the classic “CARPE DIEM” colour-way. The shoe itself saw many high’s during the season, including the famous fade-away game winning 3 Kobe shot over Dwayne Wade, his CO-MVP award at that years NBA ALL-STAR GAME, leading his team to an outstanding 65-17 record to close out the regular season and averaging 30/5/5 in the playoffs to secure the LAKERS their 15th World Title and Kobe’s 4th ring.

In typical KOBE 4 fashion, the shoe is constructed with a synthetic leather upper along the toe-box and ankle collar, topped off with plastic overlays and first generation FLY-WIRE technology along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. The midsole sees NIKE using their famous ZOOM AIR technology along the heel and mid-foot, and phylon rubber by the forefoot. Finishing the shoe off, the outsole is presented with full length herringbone

traction with hits of yellow translucent herringbone, a small yellow NIKE swoosh by the lateral side, and a carbon fibre shank plate seen on the mid-foot of the sole.
NIKE is on a roll with their retros, and there’s no signs of slowing down. With an expected 11 colour-ways of the KOBE 4 PROTRO to drop this year to date, will we see more colour-ways of the shoe to close out the year? And will we see N IKE bring back more famous KOBE models such as the 7 and 8?
